  • Open your journal and write down your daily thoughts.
  • On Day 12 of your journal, create a new
  • Continue to work on your slide show and your scrapbook.

SAVING Journal as a WORD Document.

  • Students should first save their journal (shortcut is Command + S, or can click on FILE and choose SAVE)
  • Click on FILE in MENU BAR.
  • Select SAVE AS and let go of mouse.
  • A “SAVE AS” window will appear. It looks similar to a FINDER window.
  • Look below the columns in the center. You will find two boxes that can be selected by clicking.
  • Select the second/box on the bottom that says SAVE COPY AS
  • Once you select it, the drop down menu will highlight and you have a choice.
  • Select Word Document as your choice.
  • Make sure that the file will save into YOUR FOLDER before you click save.
  • Click SAVE.

SAVE AS PDF

  • Click on SHARE in MENU BAR.
  • Scroll down to EXPORT and click
  • Choose PDF button
  • Click NEXT
  • Rename file your name plus word FINAL Journal
  • Choose your folder as place to save file
  • Click Export

Save to FIRST CLASS:

  • You should start to begin the habit of saving all of your completed work onto your first class FILE STORAGE. You should always have a copy of your finished work some place you can always access (your FIRST CLASS account).
  • Look on your first class desktop and select “FILE STORAGE” icon.
  • A new window will appear titled FILE STORAGE.
  • The toolbar has three main buttons that say UPLOAD, DOWNLOAD and NEW.
  • Choose NEW to make a new folder and title it Creative Writing 2010.
  • Click on folder/select folder to open it.
  • Click on UPLOAD and a new FINDER window will appear.
  • Find the file you would like to save and click UPLOAD
  • Wait for upload to finish and close upload status window.
  • Logout/Dismissal
