Your journals this week are optional. They are extra credit. You may continue to journal on your own. Below is a breakdown of assignments.

• Optional Journals. Use any ideas from the “Writing Prompt” Section on the top hand right column.
• This week is teacher appreciation week. A week to celebrate and thank your teachers. What other things should we have an “appreciation” week for. Just a thought, “Kids appreciation week” likely will not happen as most adults believe that kids are appreciated EVERY DAY. Do you agree?

• 15 completed journal assignments in your journal.
• 20 entries into your Daily Thought Entries.
• 2 slide shows (1: Things that make me happy, 2: Your choice from your journal)
• 1 Poster (Or an additional 3 journal entries.
• Wednesday and Thursday, Mr. Loreto will check in with you to give you a final grade.

Journal/Homework 3: Find a photograph or create a new drawing .

Write about your photograph or drawing in your journal on day 12.

• Give descriptions of what is going on in the photograph.
• Give dialogue for the photograph or drawing.
• Give some background information/details about the photograph/picture.

Tips on how to use shapes to create a drawing.

1. Reshape shapes and change colors using the inspector graphic button.

2. Use shapes as a frame for photographs and images. Reshape your image and then drag picture inside the shape to create a frame.

3. Duplicate shapes by using “command” + “d” to make exact replicas of shape/image.

4. Have fun.
