- LOG IN to your computer (User: Student)
- OPEN Class Website (Use Firefox to open website, writeichms.wordpress.com)
- OPEN your folder (Click on Finder “Smiley Face” icon in your Dock)
- OPEN your journal (Open your Pages file from your folder)
- Select a journal topic to write about from the class website reading the website entries tagged “Journal”.
- Or write about the following:
(1.) What is on your mind?
(2.) How you are feeling?
(3.) Something that learned
(4.) ask Mr. Loreto for a writing idea.

Elements of an email. I have noticed that when some people write emails, they do not include important information in their emails. It is important to include this information so that the reader of the email can quickly get the message and file it away if necessary.When you write an email you should include the following:
- Sender Information
- Subject of email
- Greeting salutation (i.e. Dear Mr. Loreto)
- Body of email
- Closing salutation (i.e. Sincerely)
- Sign your name (type your name
Write Mr. Loreto an email about something you would like to write about.
- Save/Logout
- Checkout
- Dismissal

Journal: Choose a writing prompt from the Categories label or from the Tags on the right hand side of the website page.
Letter to your teacher:
- Address it to a teacher in their Math, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science.
- State the purpose of your letter. (Why are you writing?)
- Write a recommendation to your teacher about what website you believe you should use in your class. (Name the website and list reasons why you would like to use the website for class.)
- Give a paragraph summary about the website. (Explain what the website is about. Highlight things like who uses the website, who made the website, how you know about the website and if other classes are using the website.)
- Write a paragraph of the feature(s) of the website that you believe will benefit your class. (Explain what different things you can do on the website. Write about the things you hope to use in class.)
- Give at least three suggested assignments the teacher could assign for that website. (Be as specific as possible.)
- Give a summary of your recommendation. (Restate what you wrote previously.)
- Sign your letter.

There is 3 days left in Creative Writing. The rest of time in class you will have to finish your assignments for creative writing. The following is a list of items that are due by the end of class, Tuesday, March 2, 2010. You must save them on your computer in your folder with the word “FINAL” added to the end of the file name (for example your file “Mr Loreto Journal 318″ will turn into “Mr Loreto Journal 318 FINAL”.
1. Complete journal with at least 15 entries
2. Completed partner Website Map or Completed letter to teacher
3. Completed HW item slide show
4. Saved journal to First Class
5. Check in with Mr. Loreto regarding your grade
