In Creative Writing, the two main things that are taught are the software programs iMovie (Windows Movie Maker on  a PC) and Keynote (Microsoft PowerPoint on a PC).
For this journal entry, write down what you would like to create a slide show and/or a movie about.

  5. We will all check in. (5 minutes)
  6. We will then all set our computers up and Post Project Signs
  7. View the different groups’ projects and leave comments on Poster Project Signs (we will rotate every 5 minutes)
  8. You will end up back at your group.
  9. Finish Final Projects
  10. Create “Project Sign”
  11. Save them to YOUR folder
  12. Keep files open
  13. Do not log out

You can use your final project as a social studies project related to your social studies class.

Use iMovie or Keynote to create a project related to your studies of the American Civil War.
Some ideas.

Create a movie or slide show presentation about the Emancipation Proclamation.

Answer one of your social studies inquiry questions with a movie or a slide show presentation.

Ask Mr. Loreto or Ms. Juarez for ideas.





Project Option 1: Make a Movie

You can make a movie using iMovie.

You can a movie that does one of the following things:

  • tells a story (like your journal entry about something that happened over the weekend)
  • explains an idea or concept (like your journal entry for your dream school)
  • expresses your opinion (like your journal entry for 5 things  you like)

Look at the requirements below for your project requirements (and here is an example)

iMovie requirements (must contain the following):

  • photographs
  • video
  • audio (either music and/or narration)
  • transitions between media clips
  • titles including a title page and an end credits page
  • must be 1 to 2 minutes in duration
