Look at the example below by Mr. Loreto
Seasons Change by Corinne Bailey Rae
This song is a soulful one that is sung about how things change. There is one thing in life that you can count on and that is change. Nothing stays the same. Some people say that is how you know something is alive, it constantly changes.
Thinking about the singer, Corinne Bailey Rae, she is the perfect example of how things change.
First state the name of the song and the person that sings it.
Write your explanation.
SONG:
Make a table.
Find the lyrics to that song.
Copy and paste the URL or website address into your journal.
Then copy and paste the lyrics into your journal for March 10, 2010.

Your name. Do you know how you got your name? Write down thoughts about your name.
David. My name is David. It is a common name in America. It is a biblical name. I was born more than six weeks premature. I just didn’t want to stay inside no more and I wanted to see the world. So I came out too early and my parents were afraid because I was tiny. My doctors kept me in intensive care for a month and days to keep me safe. They said there was a chance I wouldn’t live very long. So my parents named me David after David in the biblical story of David and Goliath. I needed to slay the giant of death in order to live. And I have.
I like my name, but before it was a source of frustration. I always knew more than one David, Dave or Davey growing up. One year there were four Davids in the same class and so my friend Jessica gave me the nickname Davey. Then in 7th grade I was given the nickname “Smiley”. I didn’t like that one. Not just because everyone wanted me to smile, but because I also had braces.
YOUR NAME INSTRUCTIONS.
1. Write the meaning of your name.
2. Find 2 websites that give the meaning of your name.
3. Find 2 people that share your name that are FAMOUS.
