In your journal, write using the prompt, “If I were President…” In the United States of America, we have a leader known as the President. Think about the responsibilities and powers that our President, currently Barrack Obama, possesses. What would you do if you had those responsibilities and powers?

Some powers and responsibilities the President has:
The President makes bills into Laws.
The President is the commander of the United States military.
The President proposes a budget that shows how the government will spend it’s money.

Assignment #3 is to write ten things about yourself in your journal. Fill in the blank for the following statements and write an explanation for each. Each of your responses should be a paragraph or so in length (5 sentences). Copy and paste these into your journal.

A new decade just started.

Think about how things have changed in your life over the last ten years.
Make a list of ten things you hope to change in the next ten years.
Or you can also write about things you wish to stay the same.

1. I want a flying car.

2. I want the Bulls to win an NBA championship.

3. I want to see penguins (in the Antartica).

4. I want to have another college degree.

5. I want to take at least five vacations.

6. I want them to sell crystal pepsi again (google it if you don’t know).

7. I want Chicago to have free wireless internet!

8. I want to go to the moon. We should have hotels up there already.

9. There will be a phone that you use in school instead of using textbooks.

10. Everyone will be happier!
