26 04 2010Journal: Spring is in the air. The weather is changing, the days are getting longer and school is almost over. The summer is coming. What is the best thing about spring? Give an example of why that is the best thing about spring.
Mr. Loreto Example.
I love the winter. I love snow. I love going outside and seeing your breathe. Winter also means basketball, football, holidays, the Super Bowl, and many other delights. But for all the cool things that winters bring, it also means shorter days. The sun goes down way too early in the winter. By the time I leave school at four or five, the sun is long gone and it is dark.
In the spring, the days get longer and longer. The sun decides to stick around a little more every day. The daylight helps a lot because in the winter I sometimes get the lazy feeling and do not want to do anything after school is over. But in the spring, as the sun stays more and more, it’s like after school there is a second day.
It’s like two days in one. I go to school for the first day. And then get to go out and play for the second day. I get to run. I get to meet friends for dinner. I can play basketball. I can go do so much more because of the sun. That’s what is the best about spring.
